PostHeaderIcon Data Center Container Temperatures

As with any new technology we are seeing a lot of controvery surrounding the adoption of data center containers.  As usual, the temptation is to overhype.  Data center containers are a great idea, but nothing is a perfect solution.  They really can cut back on costs though, since they are more space and energy efficient... and so convenient.

Super exciting to us is the idea that HP's POD containerized data centers can make things work with 90 degree cold aisles and 110-115 degree hot aisles.  These temperatures are frighteningly high, but if it works, the saving on cooling would be fantastic.

Thoughts?  Check out the series on data center containers at CTOEdge for more.
